Established in 1883, Fitzroy Football Club (FFC) became a foundation team in the Victorian Football League in 1897. The first to win a VFL grand final, Fitzroy is the only club to have played in the VFA, VFL, AFL and VAFA. Throughout its long and rich history, Fitzroy has won premierships in the VFA, the VFL and the VAFA, and holds a unique place in the hearts of Fitzroy and opposition supporters, the local community, and the VAFA competition it now plays in.
"We have a very wide and diverse following for an amateur football club," says Kate Nolan, Fitzroy Football Club's Director of Communications & Media. "People from overseas, from Brisbane, from all over Australia and all over Victoria will follow us, because of the long, historical link with the old Fitzroy."
"When I came to the football club roughly three and a half years ago, we had a very ancient website; it was almost tied together with a piece of string. It certainly didn't represent the modern football club or keep people up to date on the latest news. It didn't enable us to transact any business online."
Being a passionate fan of the old Fitzroy Football Club, Tim Jenkinson (our director at Fitzroy IT), saw that there was a real opportunity to do something great for the club and rebuild their website with Siteglide.

Zapier has been used to integrate the website with Mailchimp - when a new email campaign is launched, it will also be automatically be added as a page to the email campaign archive section on the website, eliminating the need for manual input.
This has also been used to integrate ecommerce purchases and event bookings with Google Sheets, so information such as membership signups, player subscriptions and event bookings will all be recorded into a google sheet to allow club management to conduct detailed analysis / reporting of this data
